The admissions committee strives to build a diverse class so that all students can contribute to and benefit from the educational environment.Admissions CriteriaProfessional experience The Duke MBA – Weekend Executive – preferably a minimum of 5 years professional experience, current employment in a managerial position and steady career progression with increased levels of responsibility The Duke MBA – Global Executive – preferably a minimum of 10 years mid- to senior- level professional experience, current employment in a managerial position, increasing level of responsibility with current or imminent global responsibilities and strong interpersonal leadership skills The Duke MBA – Cross Continent – preferably a minimum of 3 years professional experience and strong leadership, team and communication skills An undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent Strong managerial and leadership ability, as well as proven team communication and time management skills Complete application packet (see next section) Quantitative achievement and familiarity with current desktop software applications Proficiency in written and spoken English. For applicants whose native language is not English, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required. The TOEFL may be waived if the candidate completed university study at a school in which English was the medium of instruction or if he or she has worked in an English-speaking country for at least two years. We also accept the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) and TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication).
